Day 47-53

Having good days and bad days so far - felt the first bit of 'depression' forced upon me while I was going home on the bus...was very strange indeed as I know I'm not depressed.

There's nothing much else to say - I sometimes take 100mg of Zoloft but I don't think it's even affecting me at the moment.

Day 39-46

Had a weird week or two there, just zombified lol.

The doctor gave me an Anxiety and Sleep chart so I can note down what times I wake up, what stresses me, etc etc.

Day 36-38

Feel like a zombie most work days now, not all the time but generally most of it.

I can't stop drinking Ribena Blackcurrant Spark (sparkling in a can) and have about 2-3 a day lol. Oh and ordered more Mountain Dew - yum!

Oh and another thing - I've been having bad Insomnia as well, it's bloody horrible when it hits.

Day 29-36

Apologies again for the long absence, been a weird week with the Sertraline - mainly walking around like a zombie and having strange dreams (not nightmares but very vivid).

I'm wondering if I can take Nytol with this SSRI...does anyone know?

Day 24-29

What a big absence lol.

From these days I just feel the same, light-headed sometimes and spaced out for most of it. Hopefully the side effects will pass and they start to work for my anxiety :)

Day 23

Been feeling ok today (and there I just got a headache which lasted 5 secs lol).

I think by now everyone must know the times I take these at, haha. Well it was after 8am and I felt fine - and still do.

Day 19-22

Wow what a rough few days on these tabs, been walking around in a daze most of the time and also get very tired in the evenings still.

Went to a gig on Monday and I think the Zoloft helped my anxiety there.

Had a doc appointment today and got another 30 day supply, they're a different manufacturer though - Sandoz.

Day 15 - 18

Claire and I went and saw Bullet For My Valentine on Monday night - it rocked \m/

Been taking Zoloft every morning but I haven't been seeing a change...doc appointment for Monday so we'll see how that goes lol.

Day 14

I actually took this at about 4.40am or so - I just woke up and just wanted to see it.

Saturday, 31 May 2008

Day 12 & 13

I think I have the cold and feel terrible :( Also feel a bit down and pissed off for no reason at all.

Didn't even get taking my Sertraline until after 10am (which is late for me).

Thursday, 29 May 2008

Day 11

I don't see any changes but my parents say it looks like I walk around like a zombie lol.

Took it about 8am and just there now had 2 Caffeine pills as I want to stay awake and watch the UK Office ;)

Day 9 & 10

Things have ok the past few days, felt really hyper last night and I couldn't even talk right (ask my girlfriend). Side effects from the Sertraline? Hmm, not sure what it is.
I didn't get nausea this morning but my head was spinning there for a while.

Day 8

Wahey day off work :D

Took it at the normal time now of around 8-9am or so, felt a bit nauseous and light-headed but that faded away pretty quick.

Although in the evening I got very hyper...hmmm possible side effect?

Sunday, 25 May 2008

Day 7

Woke up this morning around 9.40am and took my Sertraline :)

Feel a lot happier (even though it's only seventh day on it) but that could made be placebo effects?

Also starting tp feel a hyperness coming onto to me now...ahhhh lol.

Saturday, 24 May 2008

Day 6

I took mine around 9am and had some slight nausea and a bit of a sore head, it has also changed my bowel movements slightly (probably didn't want to know that).

Friday, 23 May 2008

Day 5

I felt ok this morning but now I have 0% energy :(

Sixth Month Ann for Claire and I today :D woohoo!

Thursday, 22 May 2008

Day 4

I woke up about 11pm, then after 4am - why do SSI's do this?!

Oh and I took the Sertraline just before 4am (with Rranitidine 150mg). I take Ranitidine for stomach pains I was having years before this.

Dizzy

I've been feeling dizzy since I cam home (about 10 mins ago - will updae when this goes away.

Day 3

No side effects at all since I've been only these (well it has only been 3 days). Bit of a spring in my step lol - oh and got red streaks at the bottom of my hair (at last).

These seems to be pushing me into things that I have wanted to do but too nervous or scared to otherwise.

Tuesday, 20 May 2008

Day 2 (Day 1 started on Monday)

Took it this morning quite late around 8.30am or so. No side effects that I can see at the moment, although since I've come off the Prozac my mood has lifted significantly.

Just been going to the bathroom a lot I guess but that's been happening since the week I stopped the other pills.

wikipedia: Sertraline

This is what wikipedia states about Sertraline:

Social phobia

Sertraline has been successfully used for the treatment of social phobia. In a flexible dosing study, it appeared that a higher dose range was needed for adequate response. Furthermore, improvement was achieved slowly, separating from the placebo response only by week six, and continuing to increase until week 12. The response was higher among the patients with later onset, especially adult onset, of the disorder.

Among the different rating scales, the clinician-rated global improvement demonstrated the highest difference vs. placebo, while the patient self-rated quality of life differed from placebo only modestly. The greatest improvement of quality of life was observed among the most impaired patients.[76] In addition to psychological components of social phobia, such as fear and avoidance, sertraline also ameliorated some physiological components, such as blushing and palpitations but not sweating and trembling.

In a four-way placebo-controlled comparison trial of sertraline and exposure therapy, sertraline performed significantly better than placebo, while the exposure therapy resulted in only marginal improvement. The combination of sertraline and exposure therapy was not significantly better than sertraline alone; however, it appeared that the response was achieved faster with the combined treatment.

Day 1 - Started Zoloft today

I don't know why I call it Zoloft (as it's Serlatine over here).

Took it at around 6.55sam, probably just nerves making me a bit spaced out.

Will update soon.
